Pond Surface Skimmer
The Skimmer from OASE skims suspended matter from the surface of the garden pond powerfully and effectively. Dust, leaves and other soiling add too many nutrients to the pond water causing excessive algae growth and cloudy water. A skimmer in the garden pond removes debris floating at the surface, preventing it from clouding the water. The OASE Skimmer features a fixed foot which is designed to hold pebbles, allowing it to be naturally integrated into the garden pond. This also ensures that it is firmly anchored and can operate successfully in garden ponds where the water level varies (up to 12 cm automatic adjustment). The OASE Skimmer was primarily developed as an accessory product for the very successful filter system, BIOsys. The special hose nozzle 3/4" to 11/2" guarantees problem-free connection. It functions with all pumps of the Aquamax series as it allows dirt particles of up to 8 mm to pass through. Other pumps can be used with the skimmer provided that they circulate at least between 50 and 250 litres/minute!

Connection to the Promax pump range A special hose tail, which is included in the package, is fastened to one of the inlets with 1 1/2" thread. This connects the surface skimmer and transports the surface water to the connected filter system. The second inlet draws in pond water conventionally and transports it - together with the surface water - to the connected filter system.

BIOsys Skimmer
	BIOsys Skimmer A further novelty in the OASE product range is the external pond skimmer. It ensures a clean pond surface by simple drawing in the dirt particles from the water surface. It is set in the soil next to the pond on the same level. It is connected to the pond liner via a flange. The water together with all the leaves, needles, pollen, feathers etc. is drawn into the skimmer through the large inlet opening.
The skimmer will automatically adjust for variances in water levels of up to 12 cm. An Aquamax pump (optional extra) which is placed inside the skimmer body transports the water to a seperately installed filter. The pump can easily be removed for maintenance purposes. A very large filter basket inside the skimmer with a volume of 30 litres catches all those dirt particles larger than 8 mm in diameter. the basket has two handles for easy maintenance. You just lift it up and rinse it out. The smaller dirt particles are transported to the filter. The skimmer is not only a useful device but also a very attractive and decorative element that looks like natural rock. The rock lid can be easily lifted for maintenance purposes. Sludge Vacuum Cleaner
Clear pond water at last! The use of filter systems, following advice from specialists and observing the laws of nature help you to keep your pond water clear; so clear that you can see the bottom of the pond. However, this often reveals the thick, unsightly layer of sludge, debris, dead vegetation, fish excrement, cut grass and leaves at the bottom of the pond. Not only are these dead and lifeless, but also they produce ammonia which is the foul gases which all pond owners fear. OASE have now come up with a solution to the problem. Now it is possible to remove the sludge from the pond and clean the pond water without having to go to the trouble of letting the water out of the pond, without physical effort, without having to evacuate the pond dwellers and without irritation from the pungent smell of ammonia. Pondovac is a sludge vacuum cleaner which can remove particles of dirt up to 10 mm in size, algae, string algae, sludge, dead vegetation and bits of leaves from the pond by way of suction. Pondovac's 30 litre tank is made of impact resistant plastic and features a unique sludge draining system. The sludge is drawn through an adjustable suction nozzle (2-10mm) into the container. Once the container is full of sludge, Pondovac is simply turned off by remote control via a switch on the handle of the suction hose. A special valve at the end of the 2.5 m long discharge hose opens automatically allowing the 30 litres of sludge to drain out of the tank. This takes approximately 25 seconds. Then the vacuum is switched on by the radio remote control to continue cleaning. Another 30 litres of sludge is removed by suction and can be used as fertiliser for the garden.
