FAQs

How do Rootex Gel and Powder Cloning and Propagation Solutions benefit plant growth?

Rootex Cloning and Propagation Solutions help accelerate root growth on a wide range of plant cuttings, including natives and ornamentals. This speeds up the reproduction process, resulting in faster harvest times for cloned plants compared to plants grown from seeds.

What are the differences between Rootex-G Cloning Gel and Rootex-P Cloning Powder?

Rootex-G Cloning Gel remains in contact with the stem after application and seals the cut tissue, providing better protection. Rootex-P Cloning Powder, on the other hand, is cheaper but may be less effective in sealing the cut tissue. The choice between the two depends on personal preference, and both have successful results in promoting root growth.

What is the ideal pH range for plant cuttings using Rootex products?

The ideal pH range varies for every plant, but a good average for most plants is between 5.5 and 6.5.

What precautions should be taken when handling plant cuttings?

Be gentle when taking a cutting or clone, as they can easily become shocked if handled roughly when cutting from the mother plant. Always use a sterile growing medium and never use soil from your garden.

Are there any recommendations for maintaining a suitable temperature for root development?

To promote faster root growth, keep your growing medium warm around the clock, maintaining a bottom heat (with a heat pad) of 75 to 85°f (24 to 30°c).
